How hard do you push vs how much do you flow?
Jul 07, 2024
Greetings [FIRST NAME GOES HERE], I hope you're doing well and feeling blessed. Summer is in full swing and it's an interesting energy out there, folks! I had a great accountability conversation with a friend this morning. We discussed the energy of the world around us, how to gain greater clarity, and where to focus. Let me tell you, when it's summertime, a part of me wants to be on vacation for three months and not work at all, but it's just not practical when you work for yourself, serve others, or run membership groups. So, instead of three months, I gave myself three weeks, and somehow, I didn't feel like it was enough. I needed time to recover and recalibrate from the three weeks off from doing so much. Did I really take a vacation, or did I stretch myself too far trying to fill everything in because I didn't want to miss anything? Often, we find ourselves saying yes to things without seeing the end outcomes; at least, I do. So, when it comes to the big picture of how hard you push vs how much you flow…what do you do? As a visual person, I like to see charts, graphs, and numbers because they give me a bird's eye view of life. So here you go: There's a fine balance of how much we're doing with how we're being. Our society prizes achievement, action, and outcomes. Yet, we forget to monitor our small wins and gains every moment of the day, reflecting that we're in alignment with our soul's path and are on time with time every time. This is a big focus that I'm especially paying attention to because I've been off-kilter in the past, where doing overshadowed the fine quality of being in trust, playfulness, and allowing. Overdoing causes us to force things, push hard, and distrust the Universe. And that's the crux right there…the Universe is always taking care of us, providing us the opportunities, lessons, and moments to grow into our next phase of self. Why do we need to rush it? It could be because we're mortal and know we have a limited time here on Earth. If you believe that honky-donky-horse-poop, you're in trouble. You've had more time on Earth than you realize, and each lifetime stacks upon previous actions of doing and being. That means:
So relax into the flow because forcing anything will only make you feel like you don't have enough time, energy, money, or whatever it may be to get what you need done. Wouldn't it be better to know that everything you accomplish is exactly what you agreed to do? All the extra stuff and pressure are distractions, causing you to feel like you're never quite enough, ready, or aligned with the big vision. Friend, being alive is part of the big vision. Living in flow and ease is part of the big vision. Being happy, content, and spacious within is part of the big vision. Do you know what's not?
Now, I'm all for taking action… that's actually one of my love languages, but as I've aged, I've realized that action without intention or the end outcome can cause us to burn the candle on both ends, and we end up feeling overwhelmed and burned out. Like I said, it's a fine dance of pushing vs flowing. So, how are you designing your time and energy so that you're flowing with life instead of pushing against it? For me, I've done the work for the day. It's about time I sit back, relax with My King, and flow with the rest of the day. That, my friend, is the kind of treat and reward I can get behind. Ready to flow with me? Bless up, P.S. If you want to flow effortlessly this month, consider downloading 10-Tips for Connecting with the Akashic Records.
