How to Release Resentment and Step into Forgiveness
Oct 03, 2011Energy Connection Tip of the Day: Part of releasing resentment begins with acknowledging that you continue to hold the past current by carrying that experience within you. In releasing resentment, you step into the power of forgiveness and return to your wholeness.
Suppressing resentment limits your joy and happiness.
Typical causes for energy blockages related to resentment occur when you behave passively-aggressive, hold back from expressing how you feel or feel victimized through abuse.
These feeling can range from powerlessness, frustration, short-temperedness, withdrawal, depression, coldness or hostility.
What are 3 ways to Release Resentment and Bring Forgiveness into Your Life?
1. Begin forgiving yourself first
When you begin to forgive yourself for what you may or may not have done, you will begin to realize that in carrying that burden of resentment, you continue to replay the past traumas within your body. Begin healing by acknowledging that you are important.
2. Let it go
The past is in the past and playing the victim role by repeating the story, memories, or frustration of the situation continues to allow it to play out in your body. Letting it go is doing yourself a big favor by saying “It doesn’t matter or affect me anymore.”
3. Remove it from your tissues
Because the energy of resentment resides in the cellular memory of your cells, it will continue to replay itself through patterns, thoughts, feelings or events that bring people for you to have to the opportunity to check your reaction. In working with Integrated Energy Therapy (IET), you can remove the energy of the situation out of your cells and human energy field, thus clearing the negative patterns of the past and allowing you to gracefully step into your future.
By releasing the energy of resentment, you can reclaim your power and stop giving it to others by blaming them for something that is totally done and cannot be repeated.
